Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor – Fellowship with the Holy Ghost

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor

~ Fellowship With the Holy Ghost ~

.

Keeping your fellowship with the Holy Spirit current is definitely one of the successful habits you’ll want to cultivate as an highly effective Intercessor.

This means not letting anything break or interrupt your fellowship with God! Your relationship with God is constant, once you are born again you are a child of God and that cannot change but your fellowship is changeable, it can be broken and mended again.

If you’re relying on God as your power source and your fellowship with the Holy Spirit is broken then the power of God will be hindered from following through you and you’re not going to be as effective as you can.

Here are some things that affect your fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

1) Active Sin – You cannot live in sin or be actively encouraging sin in your life and expect to still effectively articulate the power of God. Sin will not stop the power of God but it will stop YOU from effectively using that power.

When you sin against God your conscience becomes wounded, and with a wounded conscience it is difficult to demonstrate faith.

You need faith to wield the power of God with effect. Therefore YOUR sin hinders YOU from effectively manifesting the power of God.

2) Rebellion – I’ve listed rebellion separately from active sin because rebellion can take the form of passive sin, which can sometimes be more deadly than active sin in your life.

When we hear the term “active sin” we usually think of fornication, adultery, embezzlement, etc. but rebellion simply means not doing what God told you to do.

For instance, if you haven’t done the last thing God told you to do and it’s past the time to do it – you’re in rebellion.

And if you continue in rebellion it will definitely affect your fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

How can you pray and ask God for such and such when you know that you have not done what He has asked you to do? You cannot approach God with faith knowing that you’re currently violating His will.

Not only this but also when you get into actual aggressive warfare and begin to declare the word of God to principalities, powers and demonic spirits you will find that your words will not have as much effect as they should.

Why?

Because demons are only obligated to obey you to the degree that YOU obey the Lord.

The effectiveness of YOUR word is based on your obedience to GOD’S word.

When you disobey God’s word you are giving demons license to disobey your word.

This is how delegated authority operates!

You can only manifest the power you’re given as long as you obey the source of that power… GOD!

3) Neglecting Tithes and Offering – I’m going to write an entire book on this topic.

Suffice it to say that not paying tithes and giving offerings to God is both active sin and rebellion at the same time.

In fact, we can call it ACTIVE REBELLION AGAINST GOD!

God said, “You are cursed with a curse,” if you neglect tithing and offerings.

Permit me a simple illustration: If you refused to pay taxes to your lawful government what would happen to you after a while?

The authorities would show up at your door, right?

And if you still refused to pay your lawful taxes what would happen then?

You’d experience the full penalty of the law, right?

So tell me something?

Are you, or are you not a citizen of the kingdom of God?

(A kingdom is a type of government) And if you’re a citizen how can you in good conscience enjoy the benefits of the government without paying lawful taxes as a citizen of that government?

Tithes and offerings are taxes we owe as citizens of the most glorious and fair government the universe has ever seen!

Ask yourself this question, “Who doesn’t pay taxes to a lawful government, only criminals and illegal aliens.

Are you one of those? I hope not.

4) Harboring Unforgiveness – Refusing to forgive others is not walking in love and obviously a sinful practice.

Sin hinders your fellowship with the Holy Spirit and keeping your fellowship with the Holy Spirit current is definitely one of the successful habits of being a highly effective Intercessor.

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor – Demonstrating Dominion

KLN Header

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor

~ Demonstrating Dominion ~

.

There are several successful habits of highly effective Intercessors of which demonstrating dominion is one.

Biblical dominion is defined as the authority and ability that God gave to man in order for him to effectively reign and rule over the earth.

Through Adam’s sin we lost our dominion and through Jesus’ righteousness we have regained it.

But even though we have regained dominion, which is the authority and the ability to rule, we still need to demonstrate that authority and that ability in a very real and practical way on a daily basis.

The following are some topics that are related to demonstrating dominion:

a) The Difference Between Exousia and Dunamis – Lu 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

In the verse above the word “power” is used twice but it’s actually two entirely different Greek words that are being translated.

In the first instance the word is “Exousia” and means “Authority, Mastery, Jurisdiction” in the second instance the word is “Dunamis” and means “Ability, Force, Strength.”

So, Jesus is saying that He has given us authority over all the ability of the devil.

I always hear preachers make a big boast about how we have dunamis and they make a point of stressing that this means dynamite, explosive power. And every time I hear it I say, “So what???”

The devil has the same” dunamis” (dynamite, explosive ability), you see that’s our problem right there! We keep focusing on dunamis and not on exousia, we’re focusing on the ability we have, which the devil also has, instead of the authority we have, of which the devil has NONE!

If we have ability and the devil and his demons have ability then we are evenly matched, right? But if we have the right to control the devil’s ability then who has the upper hand?

Yes! We Do!!! We have the authority – the devil has NONE!

Now when we’re praying, especially as intercessors this is the position from which we pray.

The position of absolute authority under God!

God said, “What you bind (forbid) on earth He will also forbid and what you loose (allow) on earth He will also allow.

That is delegated authority!

Under God we are the lords of the earth not the devil and his agents! But we have got to consistently rise up and declare this to be so. This is the work that we must do in order to walk in dominion upon the earth.

b) Exercising Your Faith Muscle – I’m sure you’ve heard it said a million times before that faith is like a muscle and you’ve got to exercise it to make it grow, well it’s true!

In a practical sense, what you can do to exercise your faith is to make a conscious effort to believe God for something that you have not believed Him for in the past and as you see victory in this area you make the effort to believe Him for something that requires more faith than the last thing you believed for, thereby putting more strain on your faith and forcing it to grow in order to meet the increasing demands.

The principle is exactly the same for those of you that are involved in body building, your muscles will not grow until you place a demand on them that is greater than what they’re accustomed to.

As an example let me ask you this, “How do expect to believe God to cure you of Cancer if every time you get a headache you use Tylenol or Advil?

Practice using your faith to get rid of the headaches and colds so that if something bigger does come you’re more equipped.

c) Overcoming Fear – In the body of Christ, fear seems to be one of the biggest problems that exist! Christians appear to be some of the most fearful creatures on the planet! This subject alone deserves a whole book but let’s see if I can briefly deal with the essential aspects of the matter.

First of all, what is fear? In one context, fear is a legitimate emotion that you feel when faced with the unknown or any potentially dangerous situation.

It is part of an elaborate and complex system, which incorporates the Autonomic nervous system of the human body. In this context fear is a very real and necessary part of our lives and acts as a vital component in the process of self-preservation.

In another context, fear is the term used to refer to the reverential respect that God demands from us and which we offer to Him as our duty.

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

But there’s a third context in which fear is used, you see unknown to most people fear is also a spirit, a demonic spirit with a mission to cripple and confuse the efforts of God’s people.

He is a living entity and his name is Fear.

God Himself said that He has not given to us the spirit of fear but the spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7).

In order to conquer your enemy, you must first understand your enemy! When the spirit of fear attacks you he (by definition) brings with him the emotion of fear!

The difference is that this emotion he brings is not natural but manufactured by that spirit and used as a weapon against you.

In the verse above God said He gave us the spirit of a sound mind, the original word that is translated “sound mind” means, “discipline and self control.”

Discipline is doing the right thing at the right time for the right reason. So when this demon attacks, his purpose is to use fear to disorient and confuse you so that you are not in control of your thoughts and emotions.

But know this, whenever you are not in control of your thoughts and emotions someone else is!

And this is exactly where the devil wants you, you see, demons never attack alone they always come in pairs or groups, so that while you are distracted by the spirit of fear and not in control of your thoughts and emotions the other spirits that came with him now have free course to mentally and emotionally manipulate you and deliver the fatal blow! The one they hope will put you down for the count.

So, your defense is simply to identify the spirit of fear, bind him then willfully overcome the emotion of fear that you feel remembering that it was never real in the first place.

It is a manufactured emotion whose job was to cripple you mentally and emotionally.

As an effective Intercessor, demonstrating dominion means praying from a position of victory and power, from a position of authority over the devil’s ability and getting the job done.

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor – Being Filled With the Holy Ghost

KLN Header

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor

~ Being Filled With the Holy Ghost ~

.

Being filled with the Holy Ghost is undoubtedly one of the most powerful habits of the highly effective Intercessor.

The Bible says, “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Eph. 5:18 (NIV)

I’m told that the original Greek verb which is translated “be filled” is in the present continuous tense, meaning the command “to be filled” really means to keep being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Here are some of the related areas of being continually filled with the Holy Spirit:

1) Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit – Obviously we’ve got to start at the beginning; you can’t KEEP being filled if you never had the initial experience of becoming filled in the first place!

Since the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost He has never stopped being poured out. He is constantly being poured out so that anyone who has received Jesus Christ as his or her savior can step under that flow and become immediately filled!

Ac 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The bible does NOT require any special waiting or preparation to be filled with the Holy Spirit except that you are a Christian. Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an act of faith that can be experienced anytime, anywhere by anyone who is saved!

It is as simple as asking and receiving! A sample prayer might go something like this:

Dear Father, You said that if I ask you for your Holy Spirit you will give me your Holy Spirit and You cannot lie. Thank you for filling me with your Holy Spirit right now Lord! Holy Spirit, I believe in You and I receive your infilling now in Jesus name. Amen!

This prayer is based partly on the scripture below.

Lk 11:11-14 Which one of you fathers would give your hungry child a snake if the child asked for a fish? Which one of you would give your child a scorpion if the child asked for an egg? As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks. (CEV)

What is most important is what you do next! The scriptures declare in Rom 10:9-10 that you must confess AND believe in order to receive, whether it’s salvation or the baptism of the Holy Spirit the PRINCIPLE remains the same! Confess AND believe!

So during your prayer and after you have finished praying you MUST be and remain in an attitude of faithful expectancy. You must be completely assured that what you have just asked for is being given to you right there and then!

Then you simply open your heart (spirit) and receive it! It is an act of your will! That’s why Jesus asked the lame man “WILL YOU BE HEALED???” Now I’m asking you the same thing, “WILL YOU RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT???” It’s up to YOU – Will you or won’t you receive?

Ac 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. Ac 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?

The emphasis is always on YOU receiving NOT on God giving the Holy Spirit!

The Holy Spirit was given once 2,000 years ago and He was never taken back – So it’s up to you to receive!

2) Praying with Tongues – The ability to pray in tongues is the initial evidence that manifests when you first become filled with the Holy Spirit! There are many other manifestations of being filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues is just the first one that usually shows up!

There are nine gifts of the Spirit in total and each of them is a manifestation of the Spirit.

The ability to pray with tongues is given to everyone who is filled with the Holy Spirit, some people may be filled and not speak in tongues simply because they were never properly instructed as to how they should go about it.

You will find that there is a lot of controversy about praying in tongues largely because a lot of people misunderstand this ability. And on a deeper level because the enemy is threatened by anyone who does, so he stirs up Christians to waste time arguing over this issue instead of coming together in order to wage a united campaign against him!

Know this about the devil: He attacks anything he fears!

Has he been relentlessly attacking you? Well, now you know why! My point is, however, that he has been attacking the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the charismatic gifts from day one… literally! The first Christians to be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues on the day of Pentecost were accused of being drunkards and the attack hasn’t stopped since!

Praying in tongues is a means to activating the nine gifts of the Spirit and stimulating your spiritual senses to flow more powerfully and accurately.

Praying in tongues is the act of one intelligent spirit (Yours) speaking directly to another intelligent Spirit (God) without the need for any mental interpretation… THAT’S ALL!

3) Walking in Love – This is the most important manifestation of being filled with the Holy Spirit! People generally don’t care if you can speak with tongues or prophecy! But they will take notice if you show them that you care about them as a person.

They will be impressed if you sacrifice something important to you in order to bless a stranger – that’s true love! And that’s the most striking evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit of God! It’s called character and it stands out!

It is said that more souls are won to the Lord by selfless displays of love than by many sermons preached.

So, there we have it, being filled with the Holy Ghost allows the power of God to flow through you in a more concentrated and focused fashion giving you the ability to have a far greater impact and effect in the spirit realm.

And this is what being a highly effective Intercessor is all about – Being able to impact and affect the spirit realm to the extent that we see the manifest results in the physical realm. More power to you!

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor – The Word of God

KLN Header

Habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor

~ The Word of God ~

.

There are several successful habits of the Highly Effective Intercessor.

The first is reading and studying the word of God regularly.

We are commanded to both read and study to show ourselves approved as workers or ministers of God and particularly as effective Intercessors.

In my opinion, every Christian should read the bible through at least once in their lifetime and if called to a leadership ministry at least once every couple of years while pursuing specific areas of study along the way.

As an Effective Intercessor the habit of reading and studying the Word of God helps you in:

1) Having Accurate and Comprehensive Knowledge of the Word of God

Being accurate means not misquoting or misrepresenting scriptures, for instance: Saying that money is the root of all evil when the scripture actually says that THE LOVE of money is the root of all evil.

It also means understanding the meaning of the scripture and not just being able to repeat it like a parrot.

For instance, a very simple example is the 6th commandment: “Thou shalt not kill.” Have you ever killed… a Mosquito, a Fly, an Ant? Of course you have, so it doesn’t mean exactly what it says, does it?

No it doesn’t, it needs to be interpreted, do you see that?

What the 6th commandment actually means is, “You must not UNLAWFULLY take the life of a human being.”

Having a comprehensive knowledge of the bible means being familiar with the entire word of God from Genesis to Revelation and is necessary in order to fully understand the mind of God.

For instance, the book of Revelation is written with lots of signs and symbols and is generally very difficult to understand.

However, there are a lot of concepts in the book of Revelation that are also discussed in other parts of the bible like the books of Ezekiel, Daniel and Matthew, so if you were also familiar with these books it would be much easier to understand the book of Revelation.

Having an accurate and comprehensive knowledge of the word of God therefore, will aid you in knowing the will of God in any particular situation.

And knowing God’s will and the mind of God obviously will increase your level of effectiveness as an intercessor.

2) Knowing the Will of God.

When you are in intercession and receiving impressions from the spirit realm you must be able to match up what you receive to what the will of God actually is according to His word.

The reason is, you may hear not just the voice of God but also ANY voice in the spirit realm.

For instance, the enemy is always trying to trip you up and cause you to pray contrary to God’s will, so he sends you impressions that may seem like they’re coming from God but are contrary to God’s will, that’s why you’ve got to be very discerning and know God’s written will.

Also, you may be praying with someone who desire’s a certain thing from the Lord but what he desires is NOT the will of God for him at that time.

And this person’s thoughts and emotions may be so strong that as a prayer warrior with a very sensitive spirit you may actually pick up this person’s thoughts and feelings from the spirit realm and NOT the thoughts and emotions of God.

So, you’ve got to be intimate with the mind of God in order to keep yourself from going into error.

You also need to know God’s will in order to effectively judge the prayers of anyone else.

This may come as a surprise to some of you but you’ve got to be able to accurately judge the intelligence and godliness of the prayers that people pray.

Why, you ask?

For two reasons, first, when young or immature Christians pray they will make mistakes due to their inexperience and ignorance, this is to be expected.

So it’s the responsibility of the more mature Christians to guide these younger Christians to pray more effectively as time goes by.

Secondly, there are witches being sent out into churches specifically to infiltrate the prayer groups and do the enemy’s work.

While every body else is praying they may be calling up demonic spirits to oppress Christians and hinder the work of that church.

This is one reason why it is very dangerous to have prayer meetings where everyone just goes and prays alone or in which everyone just prays out loud together at the same time with no one monitoring the prayers of anyone else.

This environment is ripe for Satanists to cast spells and do incantations against the very prayer group and the church that it represents.

For this reason you must be able to listen and intelligently judge the content of someone else’s prayer.

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” 1 Cor 2:13

3) Possessing an Alert Mind.

The overall quality of your mental processes are enhanced – more speed and efficiency.

You are able to process information coming from the spirit realm and articulate it in natural speech more fluently.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. Ps 119:98-99

Remember, in intercessory prayer your spirit connects with God and receives instructions from Him, then your mind has to interpret what your spirit received making sense of it before you can speak it out loud.

The capability of your mind and quality of your mental processes will either help or hinder the effectiveness of your intercessory prayers.

4) Practicing Wisdom and Spiritual Maturity.

Zeal without wisdom is a very dangerous thing.

When God begins revealing information to you about someone that you are praying for, some of the information may be personal and sensitive and one requires wisdom to know how and when to apply that information.

Not everything that you sense from the spirit realm needs to be prayed for immediately!

It can be kept and prayed for later, in private.

“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Tim 3:15

“All of us do many wrong things. But if you can control your tongue, you are mature and able to control your whole body.” James 3:2 (CEV)

I have been in several prayer meetings where someone prayed aloud about something that needed to be kept quiet and prayed about later in private because it was of a sensitive and personal nature.

This eventually caused more problems than solving them and was directly caused by  a lack of experience and wisdom.

5) Cultivating Discernment.

You are in tune with the spirit realm around you and have your spiritual senses enhanced.

You have the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and error, according to the word of God and sense if a manifestation is of the Spirit of the Lord or a different spirit.

“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Heb 5:14

The spirit of Religion is a demonic spirit which imitates the Holy Spirit almost to perfection.

If you are not discerning it’s easy to get caught up believing some of the manifestations of this spirit and be fooled into accepting its doctrines.

The Bible says, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Cor 11:14

When Peter, Jesus’ trusted right hand man began dissuading Him from going to the cross Jesus immediately recognized that this was not just Peter speaking but he was being influenced by a satanic spirit and rebuked it accordingly.

Accurate discernment is an invaluable tool in becoming an effective Intercessor and having a comprehensive and accurate understanding of the word of God goes a long way in developing Godly discernment.

Marriage is a Blood Covenant

KLN Header

Marriage is a Blood Covenant

.

“Hey, Pops!” Jenny came bounding down the stairs all excited.

“What’s up?” Her father looked up from the morning paper his glasses perched on the tip of his nose so he could read the fine print without them.

“Can you do me a solid? I need to borrow the car tomorrow night”

“Sure. What’s the occasion?”

“Oh, just going to the movies.” Her voice sounded a little too casual and her body language was a little off. After 19 years Jen’s father was able to read her just like the Newspaper he held in his hand.

“Going alone?” He countered with equal casualness.

The pause was pregnant.

“Look, it’s no big deal alright, I’m going with John, but Suzanne and Rick will be there too.”

“Sweetheart, you’re 19 years old and your mother and I expect you to make your own decisions but remember; decisions have consequences. You know how I feel about you and John. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I think you’re getting too close too fast, you should… “

“But Dad, it’s not like we plan on having sex or anything we’re just having fun being together!”

“I understand that, Jennifer but when you spend so much time with one person you’re bound to develop feelings for them and pretty soon you’ll find that your emotions could be making the decisions for you, and then things may get out of control very quickly.”

“It’s my life and I need to make my own decisions, right? Anyway, what’s the big deal about sex before marriage anyway, I mean if two people truly love each other what’s wrong with that. Isn’t marriage just a formality, anyway?”

James looked at his daughter silently for a while. And like most fathers, even though he was looking at a young woman of 19 he was actually seeing his little 5-year-old girl.

“Come sweetheart, have a seat.” His words drew her in as only a father’s can.

She obliged.

“Jennifer,” he started slowly, “what we see on the TV and the Movies is not what marriage is supposed to be, it’s… “

“I know that Dad, I’m not stupid you know, I can see… “

“Wait, Babes, let me finish.” He pleaded gently.

Jennifer rolled her eyes and sighed like all the air was let out of her but she remained silent.

“Here’s what you need to know about marriage.” Her father continued.

“Marriage is more than just, I love you and you love me so let’s get together and have a family.”

“Marriage is a Blood Covenant.”

“A what??!!” Jennifer blurted, staring at her father like if his mental hard-drive had just crashed.

“On the wedding night, ” he explained, “when the newlywed virgin couple consummates their marriage the blood that flows is the sign of the covenant that they’ve entered in the presence of God and the witness gathered at their wedding.”

She continued staring at him in silence.

“You see Jen, marriage between a man and a woman represents the mystical union of Christ to His Church. That’s why the Church is called the Bride of Christ and in His parables Jesus likens Himself to a Bridegroom”

“So, that virginal blood that was shed on the wedding night will always be a sign of their marital covenant. Just like when Jesus died on the cross and He was pierced in the side with the spear, the blood that flowed over the spear is the sign of the New Covenant of salvation that we Christians enjoy.”

“That’s why we can use Jesus’ Blood as a spiritual weapon and “Plead the Blood” against the Devil’s works of darkness.

When we plead the Blood of Jesus we remind the Enemy of the power of the Covenant we are protected by so He has no choice but to bow to the authority of that Blood and the Covenant it represents.”

“In the same way, when you obey God and wait until you get married to have sex, the blood that’s shed on your wedding night enforces the Marriage Covenant and acts as a form of spiritual protection against the attacks of the Devil against your marriage.”

“But when you practice pre-marital sex and no blood flows when you consummate your marriage, the sign of your covenant is missing.”

“Of course, God still honors your vows but there’s no sign of the covenant for you to hold up against the Enemy, nothing for him to submit to and nothing you can use to remind him of the binding power of your covenant.”

“When the sign of your covenant is missing it encourages the enemy to attack your marriage more.”

“This doesn’t mean that once you’re a virgin when you get married you won’t have any problems, it just means that engaging in pre-marital sex puts you at a greater disadvantage when it comes to winning the spiritual war for your marriage.”

“Wow, Pops, that’s some heavy sh… stuff!” Jen stammered.

“I know… so, what do you think about it?”

“I’ll get back to you on that, father I need some time to process.”

Her father tossed the car keys to her as she pushed back the chair and stood up to leave.

He gave her that particular look that said, “You’ve been warned, the ball is now in your court” as he opened the Newspaper and resumed reading.

Jen slowly started up the stairs as she muttered to herself, “A Blood Covenant… Wow”

Understanding The 6 Consequences of the Fall of Man

KLN Header

The 6 Consequences of the Fall of Man

 .

The fall of Man precipitated several consequences which are very important for us to understand.

From the moment Adam ate from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil; 6 specific things happened.

 .

1) Spiritual death ensued.

Man’s spirit became separated from God’s Spirit so that the life of God could not flow through him.

He began existing in a state of spiritual death, operating purely on the physical and mental levels, far below his original capabilities.

He was originally made in the image and likeness of God and called His son, able to function at an extremely high spiritual, mental and physical level.

But because of the separation from God he could no longer function the way he was supposed to.

 .

2) Physical death ensued.

The fall of man started the process of physical death in his body, which fully matured some 930 years later.

In other words, it took over 900 years to be fully accomplished but physical death began immediately after eating the fruit.

 .

3) His condition was changed.

He took on the nature of God’s enemy… Satan!

Because he chose to obey and submit himself to the evil one instead of God he now had the nature of rebellion and pride, which characterizes the devil.

There’s a principle which states, “You become like who you obey!”

And since the fall of man this has been the chief problem with the human race, in our most fundamental nature we are enemies with God.

 .

4) His position was changed.

Now, because of the fall of man, Adam also lost his relational position to God.

He was no longer able to occupy the right side of God and be counted in the same class with his Father. He fell from that glorious position.

Instead of looking across at God to speak to Him he now had to look up at God!

And has been looking up ever since, always looking upward, even to the point of missing God and in his ignorance, worshiping the Sun, Moon and stars instead.

 .

5) He became cursed with spiritual ignorance.

As if all this wasn’t bad enough, mankind also inherited a curse from eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

In the phrase “the knowledge of good and evil” the word “knowledge” from the Hebrew is “daath” meaning “ignorantly committed.”

So, by eating that fruit he became cursed with a particular kind of ignorance, ignorance of the machinations of his own heart.

He was in the condition of never fully understanding his own desires and motives; unwittingly committing acts of both good and evil.

Doing things and not fully understanding why! Never completely discerning the thoughts and intents of his own heart.

Never becoming the universal leader he was intended to be, but instead… being led by his own ignorance!

He wasn’t being the master he was intended to be but a slave to his own desires!

He became locked in a cycle of one moment doing something noble and selfless and the next, something base and selfish and never fully understanding why.

This is the fruit of that tree!

You’re doomed to live life on your own terms, with your own faulty, corrupted understanding of the nature of life!

Never knowing from one moment to the next what life has in store, running around in the darkness, searching for something and not even knowing what it is you’re looking for!

You’re like Neo, searching for “The Matrix” while you’re actually living in it as a slave to the system and not knowing how or why!

Sad but true, this is the state of fallen man!

 .

6) He lost his dominion.

Finally, he lost his right to rule the Earth by obeying Satan!

When Adam submitted to Satan, he gave up his right to rule the World and Satan immediately usurped it, he didn’t get it legally but he usurped it!

God made Adam lord, then Adam made Satan lord, by bowing to him in obedience. (Rom. 6:16, 2 Cor. 4:4) God’s archenemy now had limited authority in the earth by deception and fraud.

These are the consequences of the fall of man!

10 Reasons Why A Born Again Christian Cannot Lose Their Salvation

10 Reasons Why You Cannot Lose Your Salvation

For the purpose of this discussion a Christian is someone who has believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ, (Acts 16:31) repented (Acts 17:30) and has been justified by God, (1 Corinthians 6:11) regenerated by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5) and translated into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13).

By the way, there is no other type of Christian… THIS IS what becoming a Christian means.

If you cannot say the description above applies to you … THEN YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN.

If the description above applies to you then here are 10 reasons why you cannot lose nor give up your salvation.

1. Jesus said His Sheep Shall Never Perish and He Cannot Lie

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish…” John 10:27-28

(This one reason should be enough to end the entire discussion)

2. No One is Greater Than God the Father and it is He Who Keeps Us Saved

In John 10:27-29 Jesus said, His Father is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of His Father’s hand.

Therefore, if I can pluck myself out of the Father’s hand then I am greater than the Father… and that’s impossible!

3. Jesus Cannot Pray Amiss and He Prayed For Our Salvation

John Chapter 17 is a prayer Jesus prayed to the Father for all Christians.

In verse 9 He said, “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.”
In verse 20 He said, “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.”
In verse 11 He said, “Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me.”
In verse 17 He said, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
In verse 21 He said, “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one — as you are in me, Father, and I am in you.”
In verse 24 He said, “Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am.”

Jesus was sinlessly perfect in every way so it is impossible for Him to ever pray amiss, meaning, His prayer must be answered by God.

In John 17 He prayed:

a. That God keep us
b. That God sanctify us
c. That we be one with Him and the Father
d. That we be where He is

Did Jesus pray amiss or did God answer His prayers?

If Jesus prayed amiss then He is NOT God and nobody is saved.

If He prayed in faith then God answered His prayers which means:

a. All Christians are kept by God
b. All Christians are sanctified by God
c. All Christians will be one with God
d. All Christians will be where Jesus is

In short, no Christian can lose their salvation because Jesus has prayed for us and God has answered His prayers.

If God the Son is praying to God the Father, then of course His prayers are going to be answered… And He prayed, “Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am.” John 17:24

4. Christians Are Kept by the Power of God

According to 1 Peter 1:5 Christians are kept by the power of God, (NOT by their own power) therefore, if a Christian ever lost his salvation that means… GOD FAILED!

You might be tempted to reason that the verse said, we are kept “through faith” so if we don’t have faith we can still lose our salvation but according to Ephesians 2:8-9 saving faith is a gift given to us, not something we acquire by our own effort.

5. When You Got Saved You Were Forgiven for ALL Your sins, (Past, Present and Future)

Jesus Christ is the Author of eternal salvation. Hebrews 5:9

God inhabits eternity. Isaiah 57:15

The past, the present and the future relate to the passage of Time but God lives outside of Time in the realm of Eternity, this means, for God there is no past, present or future… everything is always present with Him.

Therefore, the human concept that you can be forgiven for past sins but not for future sins is meaningless with God.

With God you are either forgiven or NOT forgiven… There is no past, present or future with respect to your salvation.

You are either eternally lost or eternally saved.

6. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of Our Faith. Hebrews 12:2

The word translated “Author” is the Greek word “Archegos” and also means Captain or Prince.

It is used exclusively for Jesus Christ 4 times in the entire Bible.

The word translated “Finisher” is the Greek word “Teleiotes” also translated as Perfector and means, “One who has raised faith to its perfection.”

This word is used just once in the entire Bible describing what Jesus has done for our salvation.

We therefore, have in Jesus Christ someone who has raised faith to the level of PERFECTION, and whose faith does the Bible say He has perfected… OUR FAITH!

So, when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior you are not just forgiven and then left to maintain your salvation for yourself. That would be ridiculous.

Jesus saves you with perfect faith, ensuring that it can never fail, so you can never be lost.

7. The Same Reason You Cannot Work for Your Salvation is the Same Reason You Cannot Lose Your Salvation

Becoming a Christian means having your inner nature changed and you cannot change your nature for yourself. 2 Peter 1:4

If you ask any Christian, “Can you save yourself?” The answer is going to be, “No!”

But most Christians never pursue that line of reasoning to it’s natural conclusion.

Let’s ask and answer those questions and see what we get:

Q. Why can’t you save yourself?

A. I can’t save myself because I don’t have the power to change my inner nature by my actions. Ephesians 2:8-9

Becoming born again means allowing God to transform my inner nature through the regeneration of my spirit. Titus 3:5

This is something completely out of my control. It’s a miraculous process that God does all by Himself without my input. I simply step back in faith and allow Him to create that miracle within me. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Q. So, you’re saying that you cannot change your inner nature?

A. No, I cannot.

Q. And why not?

A. Because God did not give me the authority nor the ability to transform my own inner nature. He reserved that right for Himself alone.

Q. So, if God did not give you the authority nor the ability to change your nature from unsaved to saved, from where did you get the authority and ability to change it from saved back to to unsaved?

8. The Lord said, he will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

The word “Leave” translated from the Greek “Aniemi” means, to send back, to give up, not to uphold, to let sink

The word “Forsake” translated from the Greek “egkataleipo” means, to abandon, desert, leave in straits, leave helpless, to leave behind.

The word “Never” is translated from the Greek “Ou Me” it is a double negative and means, certainly not, not at all, by no means.

If you’re a Christian, God says to you, He will certainly not, not at all, by no means, send you back, give you up, fail to uphold you, nor let you sink and He will not abandon, desert, leave you in straits, leave you helpless, nor leave you behind.

The only question you need to ask yourself is… Did He lie???

9. God has Promised to Complete the Good Work He Started in You

The Bible says, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 1:6)

The phrase “Until the Day” translated from the Greek word “Hemera” means, “Until the last day of this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final judgment and perfect his kingdom.

The phrase “Will Perform” translated from the Greek word “Epiteleo” means, to bring to an end, accomplish, perfect, execute, complete, to take upon one’s self, to make an end for one’s self.

So Philippians 1:6 is saying, until the last day of this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final judgment and perfect his kingdom He will take it upon Himself to bring to an end, accomplish, perfect, execute and complete the good work of salvation He begun in you.

Does that sound like Jesus is leaving your salvation in anybody’s hands but His and His Father’s???

10. God’s Gift of Righteousness Means… The Sinless Perfection of God

One of the reasons some Christians don’t accept the assurance of salvation is because they don’t fully understand the concept of righteousness.

We keep saying that righteousness is a free gift that God gives us and without this free gift of righteousness we cannot enter heaven.

But what does “Righteousness” actually mean?

It means, “Sinless Perfection.”

The truth is, nobody can enter heaven unless they are as perfect as God.

“I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” Genesis 17:1

“Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:38

So, when a misinformed Christian thinks they can somehow guarantee entrance into heaven by how they live their lives on earth… they are sadly mistaken.

No one gets into heaven without being as perfect as God.

No sin can enter heaven!

Do you understand what that means?

Only God is sinlessly perfect, therefore, being declared righteous means you now have the sinless perfection of God, because righteousness is the standard of God’s perfection.

This is what the gift of righteousness is… it is being given the sinless perfection of God as a gift.

God’s righteousness is completely and irrevocably a free gift given to you, based on the mercy and grace of Almighty God… nothing else!

For God so loved you that He gave the life of His dearly beloved Son to redeem you from judgment and translate you into the Kingdom of His Son.

You cannot add to, nor subtract from this gift in any way.

You simply take it or leave it… that is what gives God all the glory in saving you.

Thinking you can add to God’s free gift of salvation in any way is pride in it’s purest form, because salvation is the perfection of God given to you as a free gift.

How can you in any way add to the perfection of God???

In conclusion:

The certainty of salvation IS the Gospel. It’s the assurance that makes it Good News!

If salvation is NOT sure but you can still lose your salvation and end up in HELL… How in the world is that good news???

Who rejoices over a 50/50 chance of going to hell?

Where is Hell Located and When was it Created?

Where is Hell Located?

When was Hell Created?

Hell

Where & When

The Bible is not precisely clear on where hell is located or when it was created so I cannot give you a scripturally definitive answer.

But I will share my observations from the bible with you and you can determine for yourself how accurate they are.

Question 1) Where is Hell Located?

I believe Hell is located in the center of the earth but existing in the spirit dimension.

It cannot be a natural or physical place since it was created for the devil and his angels who are all spirit beings. Matthew 25:41

Hell, therefore must be a spiritual place existing in another dimension.

I believe it is located in the center of the earth for several reasons:

1) In Luke 16:23 Jesus said of the rich man “In hell he lifted up his eyes”

2) Many scripture verses describe it as being located beneath the earth and for it to be under the earth from all points on the surface it must be located at earth’s center.

Here is a list of scriptures to consider:

Deuteronomy 32:22 – the lowest hell

Job 11:8 – deeper than hell

Psalm 55:15 – go down quick into hell

Proverbs 7:27 – the way to hell, going down

Proverbs 9:18 – in the depths of hell

Proverbs 15:24 – from hell beneath

Isaiah 5:14 – shall descend into it

Isaiah 14:9 – Hell from beneath

Isaiah 14:15 – brought down to hell

Ezekiel 31:16 – I cast him down to hell

2 Peter 2:4 – cast them down to hell

3) Ephesians 4:8-9 says, “Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?”

These verses say that Jesus descended into the lower parts of the earth but Acts 2:27 says about Jesus “thou wilt not leave my soul in hell”

I submit to you that the “lower parts of the earth” is a specific reference to hell.

Furthermore, in Acts 2:31 the Apostle Peter specifically said, “He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell”

These verses in Acts are not referring to the physical grave because they specifically say “His soul” not “His body”

His body (being physical) could be left in the grave (a physical place) but His soul (not being physical) could not be left in a physical grave.

So, when the Bible says “his soul was not left in hell” it must be referring to actual Hell, the non-physical realm located in the spirit dimension.

Question 2) When was Hell Created?

Based on my answer to the first question I surmise that hell was created at the same time the physical earth was created.

Understanding the Attributes of Salvation

Understanding the Attributes of Salvation

.

The intimate fellowship Christians can enjoy with God is only possible because of some very specific principles that are activated every time a person confesses faith in Jesus Christ.

These principles are called the attributes of salvation and they are:

.

1) Redemption – This is the literal re-purchase of a human being from the control of Sin and Satan, so that, instead of being under the dominion of Satan we’re now under the dominion of God, our freedom paid for with the blood of Jesus.

We were once owned by God through creation, became lost to Him through rebellion but now are re-owned by Him through redemption! We are re-purchased into the family of God, ransomed with the blood of Jesus.

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed… but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NIV)

Definition: Redemption is the buying back of a human being from the control of Sin and Satan with the blood of Jesus, so that the entire person is now completely owned by God; spirit, soul and body.

.

2) Remission – Remission means forgiveness. Being now owned by God, He can literally do with you whatever He wants. And the first thing He does is to forgive you for all your sins, past, present and future.

When Jesus died on the cross 2,000 years ago your entire life was in the future therefore ALL your sins are presently forgiven.

Definition: Remission is the complete forgiveness of all a person’s sins, those he committed in the past, his present sins and those that he will commit in the future. Complete forgiveness!

.

3) Justification – This is a further step in the same direction as remission.

Where remission is the forgiveness of sins, justification is the actual removing of all the evidence of sin. The person accused of sin can now be legally declared not guilty.

Why?

Because there is no evidence. All the evidence is gone!

That’s what the blood of Jesus does, it takes away the evidence of sin. It’s as if the person had never sinned.

They are justified from all accusation of sin and declared… innocent!

Definition: Justification is the declaration of complete innocence and reinstatement in good standing with a clear conscience of one who was formerly judged guilty, through the complete removal of all the evidence of sin with the blood of Jesus Christ!

.

4) Substitution – Is the divine exchange where Jesus takes your place and receives all the judgment of God for your sins and sin nature, thus absolving you of all guilt and condemnation forever.

Not only this but He also gave you His sinless perfection as a gift, along with His righteous standing before God, so forever when God observes you, He looks right past your humanity and sees Christ’s divinity within you.

Definition: Substitution is the divine exchange where Jesus allowed Himself to be nailed to your cross so you can sit on His throne. It’s where He took your guiltiness and gave you His righteousness so when God the Father looks at you, He sees nothing but the perfection of Jesus Christ.

.

5) Regeneration – Is the pivotal point in the process of salvation.

It’s where your nature is actually changed from Sinner to Saint. Unrighteous to Righteous. Profane to Holy.

Remember, a person’s nature is synonymous with the condition of his spirit.

Regeneration is the recreation of your spirit and the releasing of the life of God in you.

Regeneration is when your separated and corrupted spirit ceases to exist and in its place a new spirit is instantaneously re-created and re-connected to God!

The Holy Spirit then takes up residence in your new spirit and continually releases the life of God in you.

You are once more in the image and likeness of God. This is what being born again means.

Definition: Regeneration is the instantaneous recreation of a human spirit in the image and likeness of God and the continual releasing of the Life and Nature of God in that spirit.

.

6) Reconciliation – You are now re-purchased by God, forgiven, declared innocent and now possess a recreated, connected spirit stamped with the nature of God.

Now, you can finally have peace with God.

That’s what reconciliation is… peace with God.

Reconciliation means restoring a broken relationship. It is the resolving and dissolving of enmity between those that were once closely related but found themselves in opposition with each other. (Rom. 5:10)

Definition: Reconciliation is the complete tearing down and removal of everything that stood between you and God, so you are now reunited with your Father in total peace.

.

7) Adoption – Ancient Roman custom dictated that a son, even though fully grown, could not inherit his parent’s wealth until he was legally adopted by the father.

The attribute of Adoption operates similarly in that even though we are regenerated and become sons of God we still need to be adopted into the family of God to be officially declared legal heirs to the throne of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.

Definition: Adoption is the culmination of the salvation of the human spirit. It is God declaring that you are now in a condition where He can accept and acknowledge you as a legal heir to His throne and co-heir with Jesus. With all the rights, duties, privileges afforded that position and title.

.

8) Sanctification – Sanctification is the core principle of the salvation of the human soul. Sanctification means allowing the Holy Spirit to continue the work He started in you by submitting to His will without reservation and obeying Him without hesitation, resulting in the fruitful character of Christ.

Definition: Sanctification is the process of developing Christ-like character through the internal working of the Holy Spirit and the external application of God’s word in one’s life.

It terminates in separation from the effects of sin and the empowerment over it’s influences.

.

9) Glorification – When we allow Christ’s nature within us to have dominion over our flesh, the holiness of His presence begins to manifest externally through a Godly radiance that is perceived rather than seen.

His Spirit within, glows with the glory of God and this spiritual light attracts others and exposes them to the character of Christ!

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven,” Matt 5:16 Here, the process of glorification begins!

It will escalate during the Rapture when God eliminates our tainted physical body and instantly recreates a brand new, perfectly sinless body.

Depending on our quality of service to God and our fellow men, we will radiate different levels of the glory of God in heaven.

Some will shine like the sky, some like the stars and some like Sun in its intensity? This is Glorification!

Definition: Glorification is the process where the holy nature of God on the inside of a Born Again Christian manifests itself as a divine outward glow, so that while on earth others can perceive it but when in heaven we can actually see it.

Christian Persecution

Christian Persecution

Persecution of Christians began in the 1st century by the Romans and continues to this day by different countries and groups all over the world.

Born Again Christians have been notably presecuted by the Roman Catholic Organization during the 16th century Protestant Reformation.

Some of the most horrible and atrocious crimes committed against the Lord and His Church have been perpetuated directly and indirectly by the Roman Catholic Institution.

This is NOT to say that ALL Catholics are evil (I personally know people who call themselves Roman Catholics who are saved & filled with the Holy Ghost) but the Roman Catholic institution itself is a Religious Group that is NOT sanctioned by the Lord!

In the 20th century, Bible Believing Christians have been persecuted by radical Muslim and Hindu groups and by atheistic states such as the USSR and North Korea.

Currently (as of 2010), as estimated by Open Doors UK, an estimated 100 million Christians face persecution, particularly in the Muslim world, North Korea and the hands of Hindu extremism in India, with a rising tendency.

According to other sources an estimated 200 million Christians face persecution and a further 350 million Christians are oppressed and discriminated against.

In North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, Maldives, Yemen, Laos, Eritrea and Uzbekistan are the most persecuted Christians, according to the Open Doors.

The Christian Martyrs’ Last Prayer – Oil on canvas (1883) by Jean-Léon Gérôme

The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM)

The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand. It is the umbrella name of several related Christian organizations  in such countries as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States.

These VOM missions aim to raise awareness about the many thousands of Christians annually who are killed, tortured, imprisoned or harassed for their beliefs.

These organizations also provide practical assistance to persecuted Christians throughout the world. They are funded through donations of supporting churches and individuals.

There is no world headquarters for The Voice of the Martyrs, as each organization is an independent, self-supporting entity.

All VOM missions are members of an international group of autonomous missions which voluntarily cooperate through the International Christian Association (ICA).

While each country’s mission has its own goals and performs actions on its own, they also cooperate through the ICA in sharing information and jointly funding international projects.

Reverend Richard Wurmbrand

Early Life

Richard Wurmbrand, the youngest of four boys, was born in 1909 in Bucharest.

As an adolescent, he was sent to study Marxism in Moscow, but returned the following year pursued by the secret police. He was arrested and released a number of times.

Richard married Sabina Oster on October 26, 1936 and they became believers in Jesus as Messiah in 1938 through the witness of Christian Wolfkes, a Romanian Christian carpenter.

He was ordained twice – first as an Anglican, then as a Lutheran pastor.

Prison & Ministry

In 1944, when the Soviet Union occupied Romania Pastor Wurmbrand began a ministry to his Romanian countrymen and to Red Army soldiers. When the government attempted to control churches, he immediately began an “underground” ministry to his people.

He was arrested on February 29, 1948, while on his way to church service.

He spent three years in solitary confinement. His wife, Sabina, was arrested in 1950 and spent three years at penal labour on the Canal.

Pastor Wurmbrand was released in 1956, after eight and a half years, and, although warned not to preach, resumed his work in the underground church. He was arrested again in 1959, and sentenced to 25 years. During his imprisonment, he was severely beaten and tortured.

He eventually received amnesty in 1964.

Concerned with the possibility that he would be imprisoned again, the Norwegian Mission to the Jews and the Hebrew Christian Alliance negotiated with Communist authorities for his release from Romania for $10,000. He was convinced by underground church leaders to leave and become a voice for the persecuted church.

Exile & Mission

Reverend Wurmbrand traveled to Norway, England, and then the United States. In May 1966, he testified in Washington, D.C. before the US Senate’s Internal Security Subcommittee.
That testimony, in which he took off his shirt in front of TV cameras to show the scars of his torture, brought him to public attention.

He became known as the “The Voice of the Underground Church”, doing much to publicize the persecution of Christians in Communist countries. He compiled circumstantial evidence that Marx was a satanist.

In April 1967, the Wurmbrands formed Jesus To The Communist World (later renamed The Voice of the Martyrs), an interdenominational organization working initially with and for persecuted Christians in Communist countries, but later expanding its activities to help persecuted believers in other places, especially in the Muslim world.

In 1990 Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand returned to Romania for the first time in 25 years.

The Voice of the Martyrs opened a printing facility and bookstore in Bucharest. He engaged in preaching with local ministers of nearly all denominations. The Wurmbrands had one son, Mihai, now 70.

Pastor Wurmbrand wrote 18 books in English and others in Romanian. His best-known book is “Tortured for Christ”, released in 1967.

Pastor Wurmbrand died on February 17, 2001 in a hospital in Torrance, California. His last address was in Palos Verdes, California.

In 2006, he was voted fifth among the greatest Romanians according to the Mari Romni poll. His wife, Sabina, died August 11, 2000.
